Cong. Daily - Fee for Service & User Fees Subjects of House Hearings - House Ways and Means Health Subcommittee Chairman Fortney (Pete) Stark, D-Calif., plans for his panel to take a close look at the accuracy of Medicare payments and possible legislative and regulatory changes in some Medicare fee-for-service payments. Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee Chairman Frank Pallone, D-N.J., will lead a hearing Tuesday on Medicare's low-income subsidy program for prescription drugs, and a hearing Wednesday on reauthorizing the medical device user fee program at FDA. Wednesday's hearing will include testimony from top FDA device officials, consumer advocates and device manufacturers. The Senate passed its own version of the FDA reauthorization bill last week.
