TAX REFORM WORKING GROUPS CLOSING IN ON DEADLINE
TAX REFORM WORKING GROUPS CLOSING IN ON DEADLINE-politico: Today is supposed to be the (already-extended) deadline for the Senate Finance Committee’s five tax reform working groups to turn in their recommendations, but aides are now saying they’ll come in by the end of the month. K Street is watching the international tax group — led by Sens. Rob Portman (R-Ohio) and Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) — especially closely. According to a staffer, rumors of a legislative draft already being scored by JCT are premature — some lobbyists speculate Portman and Schumer will just release a report, rather than legislative text. But an “innovation box” is anticipated.
