House Votes to Renew 'Tax Extender' Breaks-politicopro: The House voted yesterday to renew a set of about 50 corporate and individual
tax breaks that include a business research credit, energy breaks, a state and
local tax deduction and others. The breaks have mostly expired, but the bill would allow taxpayers to claim
the benefits on their 2014 tax returns. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said
this week he will take a look at the House bill when it is sent over.
